220 km's out of Alice, a small school with about 5 resident students, growing their own tucker to make them healthy and share with family. The kids are in the process of making a bush tucker garden using alot of the local species. The garden will double as an outdoor teaching space and also as an area for cultural lessons. They are also in the process of setting up their own nursery to grow bush tucker species for their little communtiy.

The town bore outstation was designed by the grandad of the mob at the Arrkilku Indig school. This fella was onto it.  There are about 5 small houses and two big houses, and a big house which doubles as the school. All the houses face north and have eves/veranda's which used to have grapes growing on them.

Currently the place runs on a mixture of solar and generator power. They have good access to bore water, which is of drinking water quality. Plants thrive on it. There is a section which has been fenced off for an orchard, which they want to put in a mix of bushtucker trees and other fruit trees.

It's really special country. In the past it has been widley used for ceremony for the nearby sacred sites and the abundance of local bush tucker and bush medicine.

A permies delight, this mob are really interested in getting wwoofers out and the kids just love visitors and letters.
